Greenland Whalefishers

Down & Out

Deadlamb 5

Released on May 29, 2006

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

13 songs of Celtic music at it's best! The Greenland Whalefishers would be best described as the Pogues if they were turned up to eleven! If you like the Pogues, you'll absolutely love GWF's new album “Down and Out.” EXCELLENT STUFF!

Great paddy punk from Norway. In my opinion this is there best release. The recording quality is much better than "Streets of Salvation." It's already been said, but dont expect a Dropkick Murphys style of punk. Bottom line, get everything you can from these guys. You can't go wrong with this band!

It's amazing how similar the lead singers voice sounds like Shane McGowan. This is Pogues-like Irish Folk Punk. Very traditional sound. Expect more of a Dubliners or Pogues type of sound as opposed to Dropkick Murphys or Flogging Molly
