Was hoping for something more, i guess. this one just doesn’t compare to that real RKL sound. it’s not terrible by any means, but if you’re looking for more RichKidsOnLSD, just go with the genuine article.

San Diego's Mercury Legion offer up 13 tracks of varied styles of hardcore punk (lyrically often with tongue planted firmly in cheek). Given that the late Jason Sears sings on this, RKL comparisons are inevitable. Yes, four or five songs on here could easily be RKL songs, but Mercury Legion also offer up some ska-punk, rock and roll, and straight up old fashion two fisted punk rock that can hold its own. Jason's trademark vocal delivery is just the proverbial icing on the hash brownie. Well written. Well played. Memorable. As a bonus, 20 of the 24 tracks from For Those About To Trip (an RKL tribute album) are included. Some bands stay very faithful to the source material while others put their own unique spin on it. 79 mins of killer music. Highly recommended.
