good cd, not great, but good. it is worth buying, especially if you are into finding bands that are new to you. contains very catchy tunes ala Ramones and The Riverdales. which i enjoyed a great deal. they are not rip offs as others have stated.

Because i am a complete loser, and I must buy every album that has a ramones sound in it, I bought this album.

The Rydells are an excellent band, they sound like 'em, Denny even looks like Johnny. I love the songs in it as well Of course, not as good as The Riverdales, The Manges, The Lillingtons, The Queers. Still, The Rydells seem to have something that intrigues the listener.

For suck a cheap price, this album can't hurt the wallet at all. Jason Cheapskate did a good job in signing these guys to record label, he must be very satisfied with this.

very good CD... they sound a lot like the ramones, so if you're going for a band reminiscent of their old school punk sound, then definitely get this... the songs are catchy and easily get stuck in your head...

F--king brilliant idea! Enough said. Played shows with these guys a few times, and seen them many times too. The guitar player IS Johnny......

I have the first early recordings of most of these songs. I have to say I like the energy on those more. But this is just as good. Keep it up boys!

The Rydells are one of the few Ramonescore bands that can pull it off well. I've listened to them since about '04, and when I first saw a picture I thought it would be a disaster. Denny is a dead on Johnny Ramone clone. However, when I heard the demo version of RYDELLA I was hooked. This is a must own for any punk fan. You won't be dissappointed, I swear! -DANGEROUS DAVE

ok. i know we all like the ramones & thats what this whole genre is based on, but do u have to sound EXACTLY like them? if these guys were just a ramones cover band, it would be cool. but they even used the same ideas for songs. i guess if your looking for something that clones the ramones, this would be for you.

Let me start off by saying that when I first saw the Rydells a couple years ago, I wasn't too impressed. I thought "oh, a Ramones rip-off" and turned my head. Eventually, I began actually listening to the music. This wasn't a rip off as much as it was a tribute. They are probably the only Ramones tribute I have ever seen that can do it without looking like assholes.

I heard they were coming out with an album, so I bought it, and I'm very impressed. Denny does an amazing job-sometimes sounding like Joey, sometimes like Dee Dee, but always looking like Johnny. Chris Lamy of GG's first band adds some guitar work in here, but I don't think it's necessary. Also, B-Face does some artwork. It's been a while since I've seen any of his stuff, so that was a plus to this record.

My favorite tracks are MIA, Then She Kissed Me(featuring the vocals of the great Tricia of Hot Rod Fury), and Little Punk Rock Girl. I'd love to see the Rydells do a US tour.

For Pinheads only! A decent record made by these Ramones worshippers. Lines like "Kill a Commie For Mommy" only up the Gabba-Gabba-Hey factor. The cover of the Phil Spector classic 'And then he kissed me' truly rips it up. I'd like to hear a bit more from these boys. If you live in high-top chucks and your leather give this record a spin, if you're one of the rank and file mall punk scene, pick up the the first four Ramones albums, the best of Screeching Weasel and some Mr. T Experience instead, and who knows... you might learn somthing!
