THE NEW TRUST’s first show was in May of 2003.
By show number two, they had recorded and manufactured their appropriately titled debut, We Are Fast-Moving Motherfuckers, We Are Women And Men Of Action. A series of quick Northern California shows alongside the likes of NO KNIFE, ENGINE DOWN, MINUS THE BEAR, two West Coast tours and one full blown US tour (with THE JEALOUS SOUND) immediately followed. In that whirlwind span of tours, the band quickly sold all 2000 copies sold of their self-released EP. Then after some time off to focus on their other bands (THE VELVET TEEN, BENTON FALLS and TRANSISTOR TRANSISTOR), THE NEW TRUST returned with the Slowdance Records re-release of We Are Fast-Moving Motherfuckers, We Are Women And Men Of Action; an exceptional collection of fast-paced indie rock songs that are both sincere and intelligent. A flood of good press and a full European tour followed. Now with a full-length CD nearly completed, THE NEW TRUST offers the single Wake Up It’s The Nineties; a 2-song 7” record that is not so much an appetizer, but a warning shot. THE NEW TRUST is coming for your Goddamn head.
Here we present you their latest 7” record Wake Up, It’s The Ninties b/w The Luckiest Woman In The World. The New Trust is currently on tour with Minus The Bear.
