Welcome To Hell

Seventh Dagger 3

Released on September 5, 2005

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

This Motor City hardcore band formed in 2003 from the ashes of xTrephinex, Driven by Fire, Provoke, and King of Clubz and quickly became one of the must brutal and polemical bands in the area. Although not touring extensively, they’ve left their mark locally and promise to bring their heavy breakdowns and confrontational lyrics to any scene they play. A unique six-member line up ensures not only a crushing wall of guitars, but also a diverse vocal arrangement that delivers the band’s militant straight edge stance with ferocity. In an increasingly glamorized and commercialized hardcore scene, where bands would rather parade around on stage like David Bowie instead of confronting the morally bankrupt society that we live in, xTyrantx will be a welcome despot to the angry youth that still remain.

This album was okay, I remembered them when I was big into metal core, but right now, it's not entirely doing it for me. Kinda like Earth Crisis and xDeathstarx, but there are some sweet breakdowns and good growls on here. For straight edge metal, it isn't that bad.

xTyrantx is a militant Straight Edge band from Detroit and their music says! This CD really gives me that hardcore PUNK feel. Most hardcore bands now days are metal influenced hardcore bands but you can really feel the punk rock vibe whitch xTyrantx despite the vocal style. The vocals are the growled metal style but the guitar and drum work are in the punk camp. I think its a good mix, the metal vocals with the hardcore punk guitars, it's just much more agressive. In songs like "xDeviantx" you know this band is for real about Straight Edge whith lyrics like "I kill for Straight Edge!". Buy this CD you will want to break shit as soon as you pop it in your player!
