13 Halloweens, the first full length album from the undead brothers CALABRESE, hits you like a stake through the heart. This thirteen-track, horror rock and roll death machine advances the brothers beyond their basic four chord song writing, but keeps the same catchy choruses that you just can't help but sing your lungs out to. With Tim Burton-esque imagery and Anne Rice themes, all of your terrifying nightmares are realized and embraced. Blatantly wearing their influences on their sleeves (The Misfits, AFI, White Zombie, Ramones) Calabrese delivers the Horror once again!

I really like this album, it has a fresh and secretive feel about it, something that's missing from a lot of bands. It's quite a melodic album but it's played hard, with dark punk riffs complemented by considered sound clips from horror films.
I'm glad that I don't have to rely soley on the Misfits now for my diet of strong "Woah's " and tuneful 50's style vocals. I say this with trepidation because, sadly, the next album will probably come out around the same time as the Misfits next record, and the whole horropunk scene will enter (and be castrated by) the mainstream. I know it's selfish but sometimes I wish that at least one of the bands I like would stay underground (not that it matters much in England). But hey, that's melody for you.
Great vocals too, though quite consistently with Interpunk, the best track is the one that's available for you to hear, "Death of Me".
I love this music....!

A great cd that could bring back horror punk. It is very catchy, but at the same time very uncompromising. I skip over one or two songs. But that does not take away from this release.

Very Good CD. Obviously, for fans of the Misfits, as well as for anyone who likes pop punk with a dark twist. Fun and energetic. I'm hopefully going to see these guys when they come to my town this april!
Only gripe: A bit short, but then its horror/pop punk, so what can you expect?

Rarely do I ever just listen to a sample .mp3 and buy a cd online, but I took a chance on these guys. It was a good gamble too; this cd is awesome. I've always liked bringing new music to my neighborhood, especially good bands that eventually catch on with all of my friends. This is one of those bands. I'm giving it 4 stars, not 5, only because I thought (who gives a shit about my opinion) they could have settled down on the "whoaaa - ohhhh -ohhh -oooohhss" just a little. Get this CD to your neck of the woods before someone else tells you about Calabrese!!!
