No band has hit me as hard as these guys did. I love everything that they do, so I figured that I would love this CD as well. And I do like it. I like it a lot. It doesn't follow the same concept or format as their other two albums but it is a good hard core release. The lyrics are very socialy conscious but he music is a level or two down from there most recent efforts, but that is to be expected from this first release. Still a good CD and I am very glad that I got it. I hope these guys keep crankin' 'em out.

I just got this album last night. I listened to it once. I can honestly say, it does not sound like Protest the Hero that I know, just because I've listened to Kezia and Fortress over and over again. This CD is still great though, great lyrics. The guitars don't have any technical riff's like they do in the last two albums but it's still a must have if you're a fan of the band. It just shows where they came from. Still an amazing album considering most of them were around 16 when they recorded this one. Protest the Hero is a really, really talented band.

Not bad to check out if you are a fan of the band, but it is far less impressive if you have heard Kezia first. Much less polished and complex than their full length, but still has some good songs. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could.

Protest The Hero is such an amazing band for today. They stand out from a lot of bands with their unique sounds and unique lyrical choices. To put a specific label on this band would be an insult waiting to happen. This E.P. shows the true roots of where an amazing band came from. To say this was even good would get you a one way ticket to hell. If you thought Kezia was fantastic, you should check this out. Considering the boys were 16-17 years old when they produced this master-piece, it is very well-written and musically orgasmic.

I can honestly say that Protest the Hero is the best band on this planet. I bought Kezia after I saw them at Warped Tour, and have not gone a day without listening to a song from it. With that, I wanted more Protest the Hero, so i bought this CD. Not as good as Kezia (which i would rate a 6 if possible), but it is still absolutely awesome and a must for any fan tha loves Kezia.

Good record ... great mix of many different generes. The guitar work kinda reminds me of The Fall Of Troy. Buy this if you're into the punk/hardcore/metal-stuff.

First off, I've gotta say that these guys put on the sickest live performance I have seen in a long time......and I've seen a lot of great shows in my 10 odd years as a concert goer. If they come to your town...go....but only if you're not too fond of your face, 'cause after these guys are done it'll be melted like string cheese on tortilla chips. Plus, they're really nice, approachable, down to earth guys...which is something the underground scene seems to be lacking these days. Just don't come at 'em with a girlie, super-styled haricut, 'cause you're liable to get bitch slapped.
ANYWAY......this album rocks. Not as good as Kezia, but keep in mind they were only 16-17 when they recorded this, which is about the time most kids these days are just picking up a guitar. Overall though, if I had never heard Kezia I would think this album is pretty goddamn good, however, I did hear Kezia first and it kinda ruined me. If you want a great little punk/metal/hardcore nugget then pick this up first. Then buy Kezia when it gets re-released on April 4th and prepare to have you're entire shit flipped. Word.

Being from Canada and complaining about the U.S. is kinda shady, but the album is incredible. The singer has an odd voice thats kinda reminiscent of old ATDI, but once it catches you, you can't help but love it. Their political lyrics are charged with great guitar work and good backups. Great album, if they ever tour outside of Canada I'm definitly gonna catch at least one show, you should too.
