Every once in a great while, you’ll hear a band that seems to say everything you’ve been feeling, even if you can’t really make out what they’re saying. Hickey, in our opinion the best band to emerge from the SF Mission scene, was a shooting star of molten rock n’ roll. Fast, dirty, frantic, sleazy… and short-lived. Long live the words and song of The Naked Cult. S.P.A.M. is honored to be reissuing this album, originally released on Poverty records in 1997. It’s a true classic that influenced the bejeebers out of the entire S.P.A.M. staff. An essential album for any punk rock collection.

GOOD GOD!! The first Hickey song i heard was off of their split 7" with Vooddo Glow Skulls. wasnt much of a split. The Vooddo side was just Frank leaving a bunch of pissed off messages to Hickey. My friend tells me that Hickey had stolen Vooddo's Sax during a show. HAHAHAHAH!! Awesome!! :) Needless to say Frank was pretty pissed. With that said....the Hickey song on that split is one of the best songs i have ever heard. Unfortunately it is not on this release. :( But this CD rocks anyhow!! This CD would be a perfect soundtrack for getting wasted with a few of you're close friends. GREAT STUFF!! R.I.P Matty Luv. thanks dudes!!
