Friends of mine are really into this band and so I decided to take a chance on this and I really like it. Good songs with a soulful singer and edgy lyrics. I never realized these guys had so many classic punk songs. Good stuff.

one of the most underated punk bands of all time the dicks are a classic example of 80's hardcore.this cd includs one of the best songs of all time hate the police which was made famous by the seattle grunge band mudhoney.your never hear another punk band like this so dont lisen to those other idiots above the dicks are a great band from singing about peepshows to being homeless this is a classic.

the dicks, one of the great texas bands, along with big boys,butthole surfers,really red(IF YA DONT KNOW EM GET EM NOW OR ELSE!), there were other greats too,but right now lets concentrate on the dicks. WHAT YOU HAVE HEARD FROM EVERYONE ELSE IS UNINFORMED CRAP! they dont know what power the dicks had. this isnt "same old punk stuff" the dicks were one of the FIRST hardcorepunk texas bands, and thats saying alot because texas punk is probaly the best punk out there. the big boys had funk. the butthole surfers had phsychadelia. really red was experimental. but the dicks had BLUES AND FOLK ROCK! their singer has such a good deep voice. what makes it good is that blues feel,accompanied by the blues guitar and bass and that texas punk drum rythem that will never fail you. unfortunatly,this cd is a "Best of" compilation, and you get an incomplete sense after you fall in love with this band for not hearing the other songs on their albums which are all as good as the best(fortuantly for me i have heard those other songs!).the only songs that arent great are the cottage cheese comp cut, and the bonus live track.

the dicks..........with all homosexuall urges aside lets talk about dicks. now this compact disc is alright...but my heterolifemate or "friend" bought it. was it worth it?no. they are a strong punk band dont get me wrong,i like some tracks, but youve heard it all before, and youve heard it done better too, by the germs(true pastors in the church of orderd chaos)and black flag and lewd and ect ect........so i'll buy it in 10 years when i have collected all the good music i ever wanted....than i will slit my throat....sonething the reader od this should take heed to!

only like 2 good songs. The dicks are weird sounding. I think they were not quite as good as people blow them up to be. Funny though.
