This is the best split I've ever bought I think. The Alkaline Trio songs I have on Remains, so that's not really an issue here, but One Man Army are amazing. Shame I didn't have any of their stuff before they split. Songs like "Let's Call it an Evening" can be listened to over and over again without boredom setting in. Vocals from both bands are excellent and the songs are extremely catchy. Buy this if you haven't got it already.

I'll keep it short. Alkaline good, OMA not so much. I like both bands, but alkaline just outshines One man Army. I listened to OMA's part all the way through, but decided I was board around the sencond song. Alkaline Fans should definately get this one. seeing as how I have only listened to it four times, I may need to give OMA more time to grow on me.

two great bands, 12 great songs. It sucks that One man army have split because they are excellent on this release and even out perform the mighty Alk 3. Just buy the damn thing already!

already aware of alkaline trio's transformation, i bought this release anyway. I enjoy trio's older stuff better, but it does not interfere with my liking of the new trio. that being said I was already aware of the possible "dissapointment" factors. Alkaline trio's portion of this BYO is pretty decent, but not anything special. If your a die hard fan like me, you would buy this. if you are a one man army fan, you would also buy this becuase one man army's portion is just as solid as Alkaline's. This not being either bands stronger releases, making it a possible non-purchase. I would reccomend "Crimson" out of the new trio if your going to buy a newer trio and anything from one man army. Not a dissapointment and not epic. I plan on listening to this release from years to come.

what happened to alkaline trio? they put out some of the greatest records i've ever had the pleasure of hearing (goddamnit, maybe i'll catch fire, for your lungs only, etc.), then they put out good mourning and then this crap. i never thought i'd see the day when alkaline trio didn't have the best songs on a two-band split. but here it is ladies and gents. the one man army songs were pretty good, so it didn't completely suck, but alk3 was just sad. i'm gonna be crying my ears off when crimson comes out.

An excellent split. Both bands play some great tunes. Too bad One Man Army called it quits. Can't wait for 'Crimson' in May 2005. Get this to hear 2 great bands and get anything else you can find by either band as well. By far the best release of the BYO split series followed closely by NOFX/Rancid and Anti-Flag/Bouncing Souls. Don't really have a favorite song, they all are good. Lazer beam.

As I had be a fan for alkaline trio for some time and a fan of the BYO split series enjoying everyone of their releases I was relishing the chance to get another split with alkaline trio. Before this release I hadnt really listened to One Man Army but this split changed my view on them and has led me to buy some of their full length records, however, the same cant be said for alkaline trio who I felt were weak on this release. Personally, I felt that they were riding the 'dark' conotations thing a bit too much, good mourning there is a prime example (I mean the album title to those confused) what changed from the days were alkaline trio would play a show wearing t-shirts? Now they come out in suits and in particular one show I went to in manchester non too long ago, a kind of gothic type shirt. It reflected in the music too, it is alot darker, and to be honest I dont think anything as good as Maybe I'll Catch Fire or From Here To Infirmary.
In Short, I dislike the dark creepy punk thing alkaline trio have tried to do.
