This is my favorite album by the Dead Kennedys because it has all of my favorite songs except Chemical Warfare. The demo recordings of California Uber Alies is a more simple version of the song, same with Holiday in cambodia, yet I fucking love those versions. Simple is bliss, no?

Nothing more can be said from friscos greatest punk bands. This is my first DK album and really enjoyed it all the way through. Jello really knows how to write some damn good lyrics and I wish I was around to see him before he left. This cd captures lots of energy that Dk was all about and good starter for looking into Dk

DK, can't go wrong. Great CD, missing a couple of the better Dk songs...like kill the poor, so buy one with that song too.

I bought this as a X-Mas present for my brother. It's a pretty fair representation of the Dead Kennedys. It's no "Fresh Fruit", but he already had that great album. Too bad this is on Manifesto. Those pricks really stuck it to Jello. A great collection piece, but you should try to find it on its original label...Alternative Tentacles!

GREAT GREAT GREAT CD!!! but then again it's Dead Kennedys so it can only be great. The lyrics are funny and the new version of "Holiday in Cambodia" is simply brilliant. Buy this CD and you probably wont regret it.... Unless your not into Dead Kennedys.

CD is amazing. The paradigm of old school and great social and political lyrics. Not as typical with a lot of nihilistic/apathetic bands of the day. Some the songs sound a bit different from the orginal recodings. Not just b/c of the remastering just some of them were recorded differently. Like California Uber Alles, I heard it somewhere else and this version isnt as passionate and crazy

How unfortunate it is that they still call that punk-pop juggernaut the "Warped Tour" when the last truly warped band has long since disappeared. Yes, this is extremely twisted music, designed to skewer America like a stuck pig. Rarely do so-called "militant" bands in our time spew this much venom at such traditional targets. And what a shame that the Dead Kennedys spent so much of their creative energy lampooning the Cold War...but that's nitpicking, really. The music here is first-rate and the lyrics are, as one should expect, funny as all hell (which is to say that Hell really isn't all that funny when you think about it). After listening to this you may never find anything so sick, yet so easy to take.

This is just a fun cd. I mean, what can be said about DK? Biafra's lyrics, Ray's guitar (which breaks ...), and every fucking clever lyrics and witty wittism is something every DK fan needs, old and new. It's good stuff... Their "Plastic Surgery Nightmares" album and "Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables" album has some of the songs on here. So It's a good starter for new DK followers.
