Epitaph 86672

Released on April 6, 2004

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

On this, their 5th album for Epitaph, Pulley's take on the classic Epitaph sound is a unique one. Matters was produced by Matt Hyde (Slayer, No Doubt, Sum 41, Fu Manchu, Monster Magnet, etc etc.), and marks Pulley's first departure from producer Ryan Greene. The sound is catchy, heavy and beautiful all at once.

I love this CD. Every song is great. Its probably one of my ALL time favorites now. If you like pulley there is no reason why you shouldnt like this cd.

I had only heard a few Pulley songs prior to buying this, and they were decent. I took a chance on this, and it turns out to be a bit mediocre. Many of the punk rock bands of this age have started to play bland, "unmotivated" music, and it starts to show with this CD. Everything just sounds the same.

Pulley's best! Pulley's one of those bands that continues to improve with each successive CD (except maybe TAFFT). Many complain this one is too mainstream compared to past CDs. Not true. Better produced though definitely! Not only is the production better, but the band just sounds like a tighter unit. And with Scott no longer pitching, the songwriting seems more evolved and full. "Blindfold" and "Insects Destroy" are two of the best Pulley tracks ever. Granted the CD is not as hard as 60 Second Hum or @%$#%$, but top to bottom just a much better CD. Hopefully this is just a sign of better things to come.

I really dont see why soo many people think this is such a good cd. Its way over-produced. He uses an echo kind of effect on his voice ALL THE FUCKING TIME! It makes it sound too much like mainstream pop punk. The only song i like fairly well on here is Huber Breeze. If you want really good Pulley, I suggest any of the other cds, they are really good. But if your really into the mainstream pop punk, then by all means, get this.

I was really expecting a lot from this album, because Together For The First Time was pretty good, and after hearing mp3s of Bad Reputation and Insects Destroy, I was hoping it would be as stong. Unfortunately for me....there's too many pop songs on the album which I can't stand. Not like @#$*, where all the songs were aweome and not cheesy, but I got that feeling after a couple of listens. If only Pulley stuck with the style of 60 Cycle Hum or @#$*.

Like most fans, the first Pulley song I heard was "Cashed In" from Punk-o-Rama 2. They've been one of my favorite 3 punk bands since then (Bad Religion and Bouncing Souls). This album is exactly what you'd expect if you've followed this band. It does sound a little more "produced" than their other stuff but it's definetly still Pulley and it definitely still rocks. By the way, "Thanks" is acoustic, but if you think that means Pulley is not "punk" then you have no clue what "punk" really is.

Yet another awesome album from the worlds most underrated punk rock band

I'm not going to drivel on about it, basically this album is just as good as every other album Pulley have released, because frankly Pulley just don't make bad albums.

I don't think this album is any better or worse than any of there other albums, they are all equally as good

So instead of scouring Interpunk to find every single new Pop Punk band emerging just so you can get the cd and be safe in the knowledge that when they get big you can tell people that "you liked them first"

Just trust what you already know and get this

I have known Scott Radinsky since his days back in Scared Straight. The guy knows good punk. Pulley delivers again with their unique melodic style that has been honed to a razor sharp T. I get excited when I read that a new Pulley cd is coming out, because I know that with the 1st listen it will bring a guaranteed smile to my face and get my fingers tapping. With some bands you would expect some sort of mellowing, but not here. When you can't even get to song four because you've hit replay on songs 2 and 3 at least half a dozen times, then you know this is the shit.
