Dead Kennedys

Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables (Limited Deluxe 180 Gram Vinyl)

Manifesto 429071

Released on August 12, 2016

180 gram vinyl version of the 1980 debut album from San Francisco's most popular and powerful political punks. Filled to the brim with rage and thought provoking lyrics, plus some damn good songwriting and excellent production for a punk album from this time period. A damn classic! Includes the "hits" "California Uber Alles," "Kill the Poor," "Holiday in Cambodia" and a killer cover of "Viva Las Vegas."

If you're a DK fan how can you not have this LP? It is an absolute must have. This repress comes complete with the 2-sided poster. This is a repress and has been re-mastered. I've also got an original pressing. There is a slight difference. Buy the LP or CD! You won't be disappointed. Heck, if you can, get an original pressing too! It's that good!

look dead kennedys are great, and if your looking at vinyl you probabaly already listen to them and know this, so this is a great record sounds good and everything, plus it comes with a cool poster which is mainly a collage of pictures, newpaper cutouts, and advertisements

This Album is really good, so now give me my credit points bitch. I tried postin it but it said it had to be longer so i am writing this, arent the Dead Kennedys great? But i like Give me convenience or death a little better. The PMRC sucks and needs to shut the hell up. Now give me my points.

I don't know if there's much to be said about the Dead Kennedys that hasn't already been said, so I'll state the obvious and leave you alone. This album is great, featuring many "punk classics" from the fore-runners of yadda yadda yadda.. It's really good and is definitely worth the mere 8 and 1/4 you'll drop on it. Second only to "Plastic Surgery Disasters" as my favorite DK LP.

I used to have this on cd a long time ago but lost it, and recently i decided i wanted all their albums so i bought this one again, only on vinyl. this is a great album, the first one i got and its the album that got me into all their other stuff plus lots of other hardcore bands. its one of my favorite albums. anyone into hardcore get this although you should have it already. and if you like this and want to get into more hardcore read the book American Hardcore- it got me into a ton of hardcore bands.

Not much to say that hasn't been said. This album is great. California Uber Alles, Kill The Poor, Holiday In Cambodia, Chemical Warfare, etc. All great songs. There isn't a bad song on here. Sadly, my copy came a bit messed up on the B side so I might have to buy another. Maybe at a local record store. Or, I could just "accidently" switch copies with my friend's copy.

This is one of the best punk albums ever made. This is the First Dead Kennedys album I bought, and since then I have bought Live at the Deaf Club and Plastic Surgery Disasters/In God We Trust Inc. and they are both really good, but if you like more melodic punk than flat out hardcore this is better for you.
