Live at the House of Blues (With DVD)

Kung Fu 78824.2

Released on February 24, 2004

Many bands can use the phrase "legendary Orange County punk band" in their bio, but only a very select few can still show why they carry that title. The Adolescents easily prove it in the latest episode of our CD/DVD series "The Show Must Go Off!!"

While they may not jump in unison or have carefully-placed tattoos, and they may have been around long enough for VH1's "Remember The 80's," this is no reunion fluke or a last-chance grab for the novelty cash. Quality endures over time better than the pre-fab mall punk of today, proving The Adolescents are still relevant and are around for very good reason.

Great audio quality and pro video quality. Have seen them live recently and they've still got it 100% a great band to support & they also have a brand new album out now "The Fastest Kids Alive"

these guys definitly cover most of their good ones. all the music sounds great live. the dvd gives you something to look at, but theres really not too much going on. the only thing bad is that the lead singer's voice has changed a shit ton, but great buy nonetheless.

I reallyed like this cause at the time I didn't know it came with a cd too. But yeah the DVD is damn good...great sound, great video it's hard to go wrong with The Show Must Go Off! series. But yeah it really did sound like they went into the studio to brush up the live sound. Those backing vocal harmonies are just too dead on. But still a great item.

If yer a fan of the Adolescents you won't be disappointed.

Tony Cadena's voice aint what it used to be, but wether he has an "Adolescent" voice like he had back in the 80's or the scratchy grumpy voice that he now has, he is still amazing. Great show, I wish I saw them live during their peak years.

This DVD is great! It shows the band in their most recent shows. They sound really clean and have awesome energy on stage. Although, Tony's voice is alot different then say the Blue Album. But, they still kick ass. It also features old footage in '82 and the commentary is fuckin hilarious! If you love the Adolescents then buy it!!

This is a great show, especially for them because they're all in their 40s now. All the original members are here minus Casey Royer (drummer). Rikk Agnew and Steve Soto are super fat now, but they still can hold it down. Fuck being skinny and wearing girl pants. All these guys need are some gym shorts. They play almost all the songs from the blue album, except "I Hate Children". Also has bonus footage from them in '82 which is cool because it's the only Adolescents footage you'll find from back then. The quality of the '82 footage is sub-par, but you gotta remember, IT WAS 1982! No handycams then. If you like this band, then duh! you'll fuckin love this DVD. I also recommend The Slog Movie.

The adolescents rock. But this is kind of lame, because this ahem "live" album has so many studio overdubs that it really took me out of the experience. Other than that, its the adolescents so its pretty good, but I would rather just listen to the blue album, or a re-recording of it.

This DVD is grand! Really great footage of the concert, the sound is really good, can understand lots of the words sung compared to some other concerts caught on DVD/CD. The producers could have done something with the footage form the show from 82' maybe up-grade the sound, but overall its great. If you are a big Adolescents fan then you may concur with my when I say this is worthy of a 5, and woohoo I said concur in a review!

Excellent quality DVD. So many angles, and such good quality. Its so funny to see these guys live when they are old. The clip of them from the 80s is fucking sweet.
