Really great music, however I do, to a certain extent agree, that the MP3 is a bit decieving, but the rest of the CD packs a solid punch. The only complaint is the vocals, if they changed the screamo to more traditional hardcore/punk vocals I would have given this a 5. For fans of: Rise Against, Strike Anywhere.

Ive only had this CD for a few days but its been in my CD player non stop. Most of the songs on the CD are fast with a mix of singing and screaming. Close my Eyes, Oceans Away and Break the Silence are my favorite tracks. However, there are no bad songs on the CD. A must have.

This CD is great. It explores a diverse range of newer and older melodic hardcore and emotional sounds without becoming to experimental. A must have for any fan of Rise Against, 88 fingers louie, strike anywhere etc.

I love this cd, and it gets played at least once a week, which isnt bad considering i have an extensive music collection. They sound very close to rise against, except harder, faster, and with a deeper more well produced sound. Dan Precision is a great guy who owns the Bombshelter Studio in Chicago, and this is his band after he left Rise Against. Obviously Break The Silence is the band he wanted to have, and the direction Rise Against would have gone in had he not left. This band is also amde up of ex members of a small chicago band called All Else Fails, who played great melodic hardcore. I havent been able to find a new copy of thier cd, but if you can i strongly recommend you pick that up as well.
This cd is very well produced and is a must have for melodic hardcore fans, and for those who are just getting into the genere. It won an award for best Punk album of 2004, or something like that. Hopefully thier new album, due out this year, will be just as good

To be honest, this one is a little weak. There is some good material on here, but as an album it just doesn't work well. The vocals bounce from battle cry to lullaby without any real balance. They try to straddle genres and fail. I listen to this and I enjoy it as much as can be expected, but I would send my money elsewhere.

Look, there's a reason this was released on Hopeless. Cuz it is mercilessly mediocre. This is not hardcore and this is not punk. No. This is overly poppy bubbly horse shit with some screaming for little kids that cant handle the real scenes so have to listen to dumbed down crap. Harsh, but I wrote it in anger coninciding with the overall let down of this. The MP3 sample is pretty deceiving. I mean, it didn't sound bad. Okay, but it's so generic. All the songs are the same, and with that said, it's just too long to be a real hardcore album. No wonder why Dan Precision is such a journeyman! If I got stuck with in bands like this I would be bookin' my ass out all the time too! The bottom line is, the music is binded together nice. But this is not memorable. Buy something else.
