Fall Of Troy

Fall Of Troy

Equal Vision 8

Released on November 11, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Kids these days talk all about the prog thing, and the The Fall Of Troy kids (who are barely old enough to vote) certainly didn’t grow up on Yes, but they do know how to cook with sound. They make songs swing beneath intricate guitar work, diverse scream/snarls and howling melodicism, asserting themselves as possibly the freshest rhythm makers in this mutated hard rock non-genre.

The Fall Of Troy fits somewhere between The Blood Brothers and Thursday – yet with a sound all their own.

This CD moved The Fall of Troy to #1 on my favourite bands list. I've heard a little bit of them in a EVR sampler and I decided to order both DOppelganger and this one, just by knowing one song. WOW. You have crazy insane guitar lines that would beat most 80's heavy metal bands by how technical they are, and beat any band by how nice they sound... And they're actually playing over half the time. There is no solo part like 80's band, the whole song is a guitar solo. With this, you have sweet bass lines that would twist you by how they don't follow the guitar all that much and yet both are blended togeather to perfection. Put behind this kickass drums that will tear you apart by how unconventional the rythm is (which is also true for the guitar). These guys follow absolutely no rule of rhythm, they create their own. Nither instrument follow the same rythm line and yet they get togeather like one. Add on this the sweetest singing voice and the craziest screaming, that, and I know it's hard to believe, come from the same mouth. This album will break down your conception of music and rewrite a new definition for you. Every single sound will blow you away, and you will be surprised every second because you can't predict what the heck is gonna happen next. The Fall of Troy is probably the most inovative, the most technical, and the most creative band out there. Don't even hesitate, get both CDs and go see them live as soon as they come less than 10 hours from your place, it's worth the drive.

This CD is amazing in a lot of ways. Some people are saying it's revolutionary, but it's def not. Revolutionary would imply that other bands are going to follow suit which almost seems impossible. This band has it's own style. This band is crazy. DO NOT BUY DOPPELGANER. That CD is just a VERY watered down version of this. It has none of the passion of this. Solid album

peace and love

man I freaking love this cd!!! this band is amazing, they perfectly ballance hardcore screaming with soft vocals, but are far from a screamo band. in fact, they could even go under their own genre. the "troy" genre.

I first heard them on the Sunday League Records Compilation (the song on there is: Rockstar Nailbomb!) I liked it and loaded some other songs. They completly blow my mind and I bought their s/t a couple of month ago. Absolute fantastic and insane guitar-work. Get this CD now or you'll miss something!!!

This is the best album I have ever listened to. The Fall of Troy has moved to my #1 favorite music makers. These kids haven't even broken 20 years of age and they are far more talented than a lot of bands out there. And they are complete sass-aholics live, one of the best shows I've seen. Highly recommend.

This CD is mind-blowing! From the chaotic start to the progressively-smooth finish, THE FALL OF TROY will leave just about anyone who listens to this very impressed. Every track is great, making this 11-track, 40+ minute CD incredible. If you're into any intense post-hardcore/indie bands (i.e. The Mars Volta, Stop It!!, The Blood Brothers), you should do yourself a favor and buy this - it's well worth it!

So good it's hard to believe these guys from Washington are only 19 years old. I would describe their sound as a discordant mixture of The Blood Brothers, Fear Before the March of Flames, and At the Drive-In. The production is top notch, which is kind of surprising coming from such a unknown indie band. I like this cd so much, I bought it twice (it was stolen from me the first time). If you like hardcore/indie/good music you'll probably go nuts for this thing, just like I did.
