Dudes Of Hazzard

New School 115

Released on November 4, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Now, Twenty2 is back with a new full-length that will rock their fans' worlds! This album contains 15 well-produced emotional tracks blended into a unique form of punk that will get Twenty2 noticed, while other melodic punk bands fade away. Some might call them a skate-punk band, some might call them a pop-punk band, but whatever genre they are, it is tight and must be heard!

Twenty2 formed in early 1997 in Quebec, Canada. Since day one, they have been rocking stages all over Canada with their unique skate-style punk rock. Mere months after their first performance, they were asked to open for top national acts such as Good Riddance, AFI, No Use For A Name, Diesel Boy and more. The band decided to record an EP to help get their name out, so they released Winter Sucks in February of 1998. After it's release, they quickly grew in popularity and were approached by a number of independent record labels. Soon after, they put out another EP, Porn Rock, on Springman Records - recorded and produced by Joe D of Nitro Records hit band Jugg's Revenge. In November of 2000, they released an incredible eight-song EP called Keepin' Busy on Lameass Recordz.

Before I bought this C.D. I had my doubts and just assumed it wasn't going to be one of my favorites. So I finally bought it and ended up being very wrong. Infact as I listen to Twenty2 more and more I end up liking them more and more. If you like really fast up-beat punk, 'The Dudes of Hazzard' is perfect. The record as a whole is very good. Really good layout/artwork which is always a plus to me, good recording/sound, and really good drumming which is also a plus to me because I am a drummer. I can deffinatly see some more really good material coming out of these guys in the future! So overall rating would be an A+.

I bought this CD for my brother. I was going to give it to him for Christmas but he found the interpunk mail before I could hide it. Needless to say he ripped it open and we put it in the stereo. He loves the CD. His favorite thing to do when he hears new music is to listen to it over and over again and try and learn it on his guitar. He has got one song down and his girlfriend loves it!! So hes happy =) Overall I think this CD is decent and I would recommend it. ~from Toni (4) and her bro (10)

These guys are very talented dudes. To describe it I'd have to say it's very smooth melody and vocals mixed with a Strung Out/All pop punk feel and I even hear a dash of 88 Fingers Louie in there. That's just me. Don't let all the band name comparison take away from their orignallity, because these four guys are definately original and worth a listen.
