meh...not good, not bad. not Catch's best stuff, but not their worst either. I prefer Streetlight Manifest a little more, since they are a little faster with little more energy, but this CD is still a must for any Catch-22 fan, or most ska fans. Best Tracks are: Dreams of Venus, Rocky, and Regression.

i bought this awhile ago and never got around to reviewing it. it's a pretty good release for Catch22, not their best, but i still enjoy it. it's a 3.5 i'd say. the guys are keeping it going well.

Good fuckin album!!! Maybe not as good as some of their previous efforts but still very good! it still has that energetic and harmonic sound that they have always had but its not as fast-paced, but having said that, it also has some new sounds as well wich are quite interesting.

Catch 22's latest is a showcase of melodic, poppy ska. Catch 22 is one of the worlds most renown ska bands, and it shows in the pure musicianship of this album. Unfortunately, I was let down by this album. It lacks the classical-yet-fun horn parts, and the vocals seem forced rather than flowing. Yet, Where Keasby Nights failed in polish, this album greatly makes up for. Nothing in this album isn't meant to be there. "Dreams of Venus" is an obvious example of this. Again, yet another example of a band growing, and changing, but in a way a former fan simply cannot support. I will always love "Keasby," but "Dinosaur Sounds" can stay in the jurassic.

I think i could give this cd a better review if i didn't love the old Catch 22 so much. You should pick it up if you're a fan of ska and it does grow on you.

Well this cd really sucks. It sounds nothing like their old stuff. It's a waste of money, don;t buy it.

dissapointed/caught off guard/and some kind of pleasure. yes this albumn really caught me off guard the first time i listened to it, but with every listen i tend to appreciate it more. yes it is slower then previous records, not as good as the older records like keasbey nights, but this doesn't mean they are "washed up" they did make a big change but that isn't always a bad thing, well for what i was expecting it is a bad thing but not in the long run, one slower albumn doesn't mean thats the path they are taking for the rest of the time they are a band. look at the bosstones, they had a metal sound in their earlier days but progressed further and further to really great ska, the little changes didn't change the talent nor the fans.

Well well well...the truth is coming out clear as day now...I now realize why Thomas, Josh, and Jamie left the band Catch-22....looks like they are trying to be a poppy sounding ska band...i was very excited about this release but it did not take to long for me to come to this conclusion....Not nearly as good as "Alone in a crowd" and not even close to the masterpiece that they put out "Keasbay nights"...i give Thomas full credit for their success up to this point...the truth is ...Thomas Kalnoky made this band what they are...without him they are just another want to be Real big fish (sellouts!)...Maybe i had to high expectations and was let down...maybe i need to give it a few more listens...but it sure as hell didn't grab me and pull me in like past Catch-22 albums...oh well..guess i'll wait for B.O.T.A.R. or Streetlight Manifesto to release another album of greatness...Catch-22 can now confidently say they are "WASHED UP AND THRU THE WRINGER"...very disappointed!...i will however give it a few more listens just because i'm not usually so hard on a band and maybe just maybe i'm missing something.

I just got this cd today. I normally listen to new cd's a few times before I can truly judge them. This cd sounds as if it is a newer version of Catch 22. I sensed a huge change from Keasbey Nights to Now. The melodies are slower (then old Catch 22) and lyrics are more meaningful. The vocals seem more mature and the guitars/horns are awesome! If you're a fan of catch 22 it's a must and if you love ska you shouldn't resist.
