Deftones follow up their epic "White Pony" with a disc that goes back to their heavier roots while still staying true to the mellow, ambient sound they're so well known for. Chino's high screams on "Hexagram" are so well executed. This CD is solid from start to finish, from the single "Minerva" to the techno bliss of "Lucky You" to the trashing "When Girls Telephone Boys". Any Deftones fan will be pleased, and it also should appeal to fans of Poison the Well, Onelinedrawing, etc.
