Talk about an artist going out on top! Joe's final album was a delight. It slows down a bit too much in certain places, but it's solid overall. If you're looking for your first JS & the Mescaleros album, go with "Global a Go-Go".

I Miss You Joe!! We all miss you!!
This is quite a swan song. Every track is phenomenal. Joe's cove of "Redemption Song" is by far the best i've ever heard. The Mescaleros' music meshes with Joe's voice like a fence creating a tapestry of sound. Some of Joe's best lyrics are here. Music just doesn't get much better than this. What else can i say? Just listen.

Amazing album. Joe Strummer is a legend. I am a huge fan of his work with the Clash, and I can rest peacfully knowing that his last work was still excellent. This album is definitly worth it. It is a must buy for any punk, you gotta know your roots!

I think people issue out a 5 way too often, this cd would be a 4, mind you it is a great CD and I'm sort of sad that there will be no more Mescalero albums but I am happy to own this cd, and I like it more than Global A GO-GO and a lot less than Rock Art and X ray stlye..

The number one punk rock album of the year. joe will be long missed, but will live forever in his music legacy. its sad that he had to go, but this is a fantastic way to send him off into rock and roll heaven. just passionate and powerful lyrics written by one of the most innovative musicians ever. the redone redemption song is just fantastic. there is music here that everyone can enjoy. joe strummer is and always shall be my guitar hero. i only wish i could have seen him play live before he had to go. man, the 70's and 80's didnt know how good they had it. master strummer is a legend and will never die in spirit. i salute you joe and you will be missed. Rest In Peace 1952-2002. "And im gonna keep on listenin to the great Joe Strummer, cause through music, we can live forever." -Tim Armstrong
