This band invented hardcore. This release along with every other release they put out during the 80s deserves a spot in every music lovers collection. It's too bad I can't say the same about everything after that like "Rise" and "God of Love",I would'nt spend my money on the new release, either.
If you're gonna buy this, buy "black dots" as well. You will not be dissappointed...unless you've got fragile little baby ears.

Jeff(Not Cheryl), This is a good EP...But not as good as :"Banned in DC: Greatist Riffs"!!! If you are a fan or just just getting into Bad Brains get Omega Sessions(Four Stars) and Greatist Riffs(Five Stars)!!! I can't wait 'til I get Black Dots:) Cheers, Jeff

VERY SHORT, BUT YET GOOD. ANYTHING BY BAD BRAINS IS GREAT. I RECOMEND IF YOU ARE A BIG COLLECTOR OF OLD HARDCORE/PUNK TYPE SHIT, BUY THIS LITTLE GEM. ITS GOT SOME OLD SONGS BUT THEY ARE DIFFERENT SOUNDING. JUST BUY IT.

These songs were before the self-titled album. I like this CD, it has good versions of their songs. the only reason I give it a 4 is because of length (it's about 15 minutes). It's still highly recommended for those who want every album from them (like me).

Bad Brains started the whole PUNK-REGGEA explosion! They led the way for one of the greatest bands of all time....SUBLIME of course. If it wasn't for Bad Brains we wouldn't have had Brad Nowell (R.I.P) of Sublime or even the offspring of Sublime Long Beach Dub Allstars. It just shows you what one band can do! Buy this cd you will not regret it. While your at it pick up Sublime "40oz to Freedom" and "S/T" It prooves how PUNK-REGGEA mix.

Excellent album. Very short but worth the money. I think the version of "I againstI" on this is better version. Attitude rules to.
