Another band that I knew about back in the day and then forgot about for awhile. This is great indie emo rock from the 90's. Back when emo wasn't a bad word in music circles and wasn't about looking or dressing a certain way. You can't go wrong with this cd. Too bad this band didn't last very long.
"Nickel Wound" and "Back & to the Left" are album staples, but all the songs are good. Pick this one up if you want to remember how emo used to be. I don't have much else to write, just a great cd.

Everyone loves this. I think it is ok. Doesn't really grab me as much as the singer's later pop-punk band, Gameface. Still, "Back and to the Left" is a classic indie-emo/post-hardcore song.

This is a great album. Starts out with a more rocking song and progresses into the more melodic and softer. I realy enjoy this band and the ones ive found from listening to them.

One of the best CD's released in the past 10 years and a must have for anyone into the emo/indie scene. I don't think I've heard better music in the last couple years with the exception of Neil Perry's Lineage Situation which by the way is some of the most insane music I've ever heard. If you like raw, beautiful, and inspired music then pick up some Texas Is The Reason.

Emo done right. The songs are well written and the vocals are incredible. Standout tracks are 'magic bullet theory' and 'nickelwound'. Pick it up if you are interested in music such as mineral, sunny day real estate, etc.

this cd is lovely. i have probably listened to it 100 times since i bought it.. its pretty great. I really think that Texas is the Reason is one of the best emo bands there has ever been and the song the days refrain proves it... if you're one of the trendy emo dipshits dont get this, your style is more along the lines of... shit.. and this is actual emo.

great cd. if you want to hear some good post-hardcore rock, check this out. the songs sort of seem to all mesh together, but luckily they're all good. no really stand-out tracks aside from 'the magic bullet theory' and 'a jack with one eye', but overall it's worth your time.

Why did this band have to break up after only one album and an EP? Why, oh why? They had everything that I ever wanted to hear from a band. I guess I do believe in magic and it's name is Texas Is The Reason. This is a must have album in any collection, especially if you want to know where all of the so-called emo bands of today got their inspiration from.
