It's Refused. That's really all that should have to be said. "The Shape of Punk to Come" was one of the most amazing punk/hardcore CD's to ever come out of anywhere and it's a shame how under rated it is. I think anyone who calls themselves a fan of punk rock, hardcore, metal, indie or whatever should own a copy of that CD. But back to THIS CD. It has the single off their revolutionary CD "New Noise", 2 unreleased tracks, a remix of "Refused are Fuckin Dead" and the music video for "New Noise". Basically, if you like Refused, it's the worth the money. If you don't like Refused, buy their CD or go hang yourself.

HOLY MOTHER FUCKIN' SHIT! This EP is amazing. The first song "New Noise", which I remember being all over MTV2, just comes right through and cracks ya right in the face with a hard, angry fist. There is some very awesome political rage coming from these dark haired Europeans in this EP. If you are new to Refused check out "Shape of Punk", then maybe form a team of rebels and revolutionize this ignorant world, just a suggestion.

Refused is not a "political" band. To say it is "political" lumps it in the same category as all of the Bad Religion wanna-be bands. Refused surpasses anything that a "political" band could ever be. Refused is a philosophical band. It is deeper than anything else you could ever listen to, I dare say.

This album is basically a single for "The Shape of Punk to Come" (which is perhaps my favorite album of all time). It contains the classic "New Noise", in all of its genius. "Blind Date" is quite good, as is "Poetry Written In Gasoline". The remix of "Refused are Fucking Dead" is creative... I don't care much for techno, but Refused makes me appreciate it.

If you're reading this review... go out and buy "The Shape of Punk to Come". If ya like that, you'll like this.

Refused put out a fair amount of "traditional" hardcore, then came out of almost nowhere to record perhaps the most groundbreaking hardcore punk albums of the past fifteen years--The Shape Of Punk To Come. This ep is an extension of this later-era Refused, bearing a single from the aforementioned disk (New Noise). The b-sides are excellent works, particularly the fierce, fiery "Poetry Written In Gasoline". The remix track is a COMPLETE departure from ANY previous work, but it works in conjunction with rest of the ep. A great little cd.

This was originally out on honey bear records months and months ago but for most epitaph listeners, I suppose if it isn't advertised in a skateboarding mag they dont know it exists.

Alas, despite my ultra punk rock point for having the honey bear release, its a mixed EP. One of the 2 new ones is somewhat weak while the other is just great. The remix was good even for this techno loathing mind.

Refused in a Sam Goody. Irony so thick you could preserve prehistoric creatures in.
