Great cd. I remember downloading some of these songs way back in the day when Napster first became available. I never got the cd though. One night I was on here and I wanted another cd and I didn't know what. For some reason this band came to my mind. I guess I just felt like the first cd would be worth my money and songs like "Always Ten Feet Tall" made me feel super nostalgic. Another one of my favorites is "Three Miles Down" which essentially describes how I felt for years.
I really liked Chris' voice on these early albums. I never got too into the newer Saves the Day stuff though I don't recall hearing many of their newer songs anyway. This is a very worthwhile purchase and anyone can relate to the feelings expressed on this cd.

An amazing Punk/Emo album that can be enjoyed at almost anytime. For some reason I waited and got this cd just recently but is among some of the greatest Saves the day material around.

This is a great album, not their best but still a 5. If you are purchasing your first Saves The Day album I recommend Through Being Cool.

The first band to dare to mix emo and punk together and what they came out with is something that will always have them remembered for all time... these guys are really incredible with what they've tried to do with the genre emo.. This is a great cd and if you think you'd like to hear just exactly what the perfect mix of emo and punk are then id get this cd or "Through Being Cool" or both would be a great investment... there's no such thing as a "skip over" song on a Saves The Day cd and I think that's what I like most about them his way to keep writting great songs one after another.... truly incredible...

Quite a good album, probably their second best after "Through Being Cool". The songs are good, but seem a bit repetative after a while. None of the songs particularly stand out and they lack the catchiness demonstrated on "Through being cool". Highlights of the album would include; "The Choke", "Always Ten Feet Tall", "Seeing It This Way", "Houses And Billboards", "Obsolete" and "Jodie". Personally i don't really like the new emo style of Saves The Day and so i would definately recommend this CD over their more recent ones. If you like the older Saves The Day or if you like pop punk or good punk rock in general, i would suggest you buy this or even better buy "Through Being Cool".

This is a good cd. Its a bit different from their other cd's, but none of Saves the Day's cd's sound similar. Vocals are less melodic and more whiney. Still, like i said, a good solid cd.

This is hardly even Saves The Day!??!? It has 2 of the current band members and its an awfull emo-punk blend of melodic singing and bad drumming. Saves The Day are a brilliant band - however this CD is awfull. If Chris Connelys name didnt apear on this record I wouldnt even have given it 2 stars! Blindfolded - the only good track!

If you do not like the new saves the day then this will not apply to you. I love the new saves the day, i think they do emo very well, but this CD is a lot quicker and more punkier than the newest release, possibly because of a very different line-up. Chris conley is now the only original remaining member. It is still not as good as 'thru being cool' though, even though that one is faster than the newest one. Still, not a bad CD though. Check out some of the songs before you go buying this CD expecting some emo ala. new saves the day.

Straight outta princeton, NJ, Saves the Day hit the ground running with this cd. It's heavier than Stay What You Are but just as catchy. This album plays amazing from tracks 1 through 14. Obvious comparisons to Lifetime were being made when this came out and while they are valid, Chris' voice sounds so different from Ari Katz's that I think it is very unfair to make it sound like they were one and the same band. Jodie is still one of my favorite songs 5 years later. One of my favorite concerts was the acoustic show years back when they closed with Jodie. Amazing.
