As you can see this is a popular album, as it should be. Its a trip back to the manic times. When punk was real, raw and just starting. This Album is a historical journey. I even like the way its all layed out with minor threat sort of acting like a bridge between other bands. I mean who hasnt heard of Minor threat. I especially like SOA(wish Rollins had stayed with SOA) and GI Its like hearing the bands at their rawest but best form. Yes a definate great pick up. I noticed somepeople talk about sxe when reviewing this. But as these bands became known for sxe- this was all before that was even movement of it own. This is just pure D.C. PUNK! Get it.

This comp is so cool! State of Alert kicks ass! Black Flag doesn't have shit on them! (Henry Rollins sang for both bands...) I already knew the Minor Threat songs, so that was nothing new, (Minor Threat kicks ass too). Government Issue was pretty cool, The Teen Idles were cool, and Youth Brigade was ok. The Youth Brigade from Canada/LA is way better. But I'm pretty sure the lead singer from the Teen Idles sings in this Youth Brigade...not sure don't care. Best intro into HarDCore. Oh, and Bad Brains' self-titled. Almost everything from Dischord is good...but they need to find out if they have any lost demo tapes from SOA, cuz 10 on this isn't enough!!! Most recommended if you're straight edge like me. :)

Raw testimony of a crazy nut-time in rock 'n' roll history, a must-have for every 80's punker survivor. And also for the younger wannabies, alright!

Minor Threat is my favorite band and you combine that with State Of Alert, Youth Brigade, GI and Teen idles, this cd just rocks. State of Alert is awesome and I enjoy them even more to Black Flag (Ill probably get criticized for that).

This cd is ok . Of course the stand out band on it is minor threat they basically dominate the whole cd . Teen idles are preaty and and so are Government Issue but SOA and Youth Brigade just can't even hold a candle to Minor Threat . Not terrible but i wouldn't put it at the top of your list of cd's to get

This is great to have. All of these 25-year out of print EPs on one easy to find CD. 4 of the 6 you can't even get anywhere else. So if you're into hardcore (the real stuff) then this is a MUST have. It’s got The Teen Idles first EP with Ian MacKaye before Minor Threat and its got Henry Rollins first bands' only EP (S.O.A.). It’s also got the only EP of DC’s Youth Brigade (not the same band that was in "Another State of Mind") plus 2 Minor Threat EPs (both of which are on "Complete Discography" so I already had those) AND Government Issues' first EP. Worth every penny and more. Some bands are better then others but they're all good. Here’s my individual ratings:
The Teen Idles - Minor Disturbance - 4/5 -- S.O.A. - No Policy - 4/5 -- Minor Threat - Self Titled - 5/5 -- Government Issue - Legless Bull - 3/5 -- Minor Threat - In My Eyes - 5/5 -- Youth Brigade [DC] - Possible - 3.5/5 --
