this is pretty much the same review i left for red medicines. not my favorite fugazi album, but still one of the greatest bands in the history of music. if you're just getting started you can't go wrong with 13 songs or repeater. i also recomend the argument and end hits. you really can't go wrong with this band.

To be honest, I only got this CD after realizing I didn't have any other albums from 1993. In that respect I was pleasantly surprised. Fugazi apparently had both punk and indie nailed down right from the beginning. Compared to "The Argument", though, this record doesn't seem very significant. They hit all the right highs and maneuver through the right lows, but the relevance is lost somewhat in the mix. I suppose it's worth it to have all the Fugazi albums just because of what the band stands for, and to keep the progression that occurs between one album and another intact. Don't expect a revolution, though.

You might have seen my other reviews on fugazi, the same holds true here. An awsome awsome band. Not just "flavor of the week" awsome, its "i'll be listening to this band for the next 20 years" awsome. Get this or you suck.

This is a good cd but if it will be you first cd of fugazi to buy... don't buy it. Buy 13 songs or the argument. This is a good cd though

Fugazi is a very uique punk/rock and roll/indie/art rock/whateveryouwannacallem band. I love their values and political standpoints on merchandise, show prices, and record labels. But the music is even better. Ian and Guy's vocals are raw and beutiful at the same time. The jazz drumming influences can be seen in Brendon's drumming and Joe's punchy bass lines and incredible texture to this c.d. The lyrics are abstract and the music is a bit of everything with pure emotion stiching it all together. Make sure you pick up the classi "13 songs" first.
