Classic example of the anarcho ethos. The message is clear and strong, and the music is absolutely artful. They weren't just a "punk" band, they were true artists with something to say. Truly walked the walk and didn't just talk the talk.

Tons of information, tons and fucking tons of it. Crass had a purpose when they recorded and released this record. It's amazing well written and the songs are strong and work together well. I get on trips where this record stays on my turn table for days at a time. The lyric booklet is enough reason to buy this if nothing else, you get pages full of essays and such to help fill that pretty little head of yours.

Trust me its good shit.

When the Sex Pistols poster boy Anarchy fell on its ass. Crass was lurking in streets of then Tory UK! Anarchy was re-born! We all have Crass to thank for punk/anarcho! Not The Pistols or The Ramones!

Crass is awesome. I can never say that they are very good musicians but they do make very good music. Christ the Album and Well Forked, But Not Dead (live songs and crazy madness) are probably Crass's finest peices. They are incredibly in depth and psycedelic, I stayed up one night and tripped out to this fucking album. it's good.
