Frenching The Bully (Reissue)

Broken Rekids 103

Released on June 17, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Out of print since 1994, this is the long anticipated re-release of THE GITS' debut album. Frenching the Bully introduced Seattle's GITS to the world in 1992. This has been an incredibly influential album and lead singer, Mia Zapata's lyrics and delivery have been compared with JOE STRUMMER, P.J. HARVEY and PATTI SMITH. The original tapes have been remixed and re-mastered by producer Jack Endino and surviving band members. Two studio tracks and 8 live tracks have been added as a bonus.

I finally got this re-issue. I had forgotten how damn good the Gits were. It's a damn shame Mia Zapata was taken so young. Her voice is full of blood and sweat, and a little alcohol. The added live versions are pretty stellar too.
