Blackout 30.2

Released on June 25, 1996

This is H2O's first full length cd that was released before they signed to Epitaph. Poppy, upbeat NYHC with an old school feel. Eleven songs with funny samples in between about friendship, girls and sellouts. This also has guest appearances by Freddy Madball, Vinnie Stigma, and CIV.

First H2O record. Pretty ill. Good songs, good production, good message. Clocks in at 29:46. Between songs there's talking between Anthony Killing Time, Vinnie Stigma from Agnostic Front, BJ Papas, Moon, Dickie Barrett from the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, CIV from Gorilla Biscuits, Jimmy Gestapo from Murphy's Law, and from the dudes in Madball. Its just little snippits of conversations between all the NYHC dudes. The songs are hella good though. At the end of the last track there is a bonus track of Toby 1 singing/screaming with Sick of It All on "My Love is Real". Pretty funnny because its from '94. Overall good debut effort as a band.Comes with lyric book. Now if we could get them to drop that new record...

I love H2O but this not their best. I bought it to complete my collection. Pretty much every other record is better... but since its H2O i won't call this record bad... its just not their best. :-D

every H2O album has been better then the last (with the exception of their latest "go" which was their worst). with that said, this is their first album, and it get's 5 stars. so just imagine how amazing thicker than water and f.t.t.w are. from start to finish this album does not let up. songs that will probbaly get you hooked on this album are 5 year plan, i know why, spirt of 84, family tree, my curse and here today gone tomrrow.

theres nothing better then some positive harcore.

This is a pop record, of course, but that doesn't take away from it's pure class! Hardly cerebral, H2O are a fun time, honest, positive, passionate group of hardcore kids straight out of 1988 and that's shown in the music - upbeat youthcrew streetpunk.

Of all their records, this is certainly the best, and if you're into Sick of It All, these guys, who are SOIA's ex-roadies, should be right up your alley. It's very saccharine, but not as sappy and lightweight as their later albums, and you can hear that they had fun making this album, and that all the songs and sing-alongs on it come from the heart.

This album shows the hardcore side of H20. I think it is one of their best. If you like newer H20, you should check this out. See what H20's roots are all about. Typical New York hardcore.

of the few hardcore bands that i like out there, h20 is one of my favs. yes it is hardcore, but at least it isnt afi (ugh). this is a great cd with alot of time put into it, and is worth whatever this place charges. its jam- packed with pure punk-hardcore music and is not a letdown.
