Supporting THE BLOOD BROTHERS' relentless touring for their critically acclaimed third full-length, Burn, Piano Island, Burn, Second Nature Recordings proudly repackages THE BLOOD BROTHERS' unsettling first single, "Ambulance vs. Ambulance" with an unreleased B-side - the stabbing, jerking, "Pink Tarantulas."
The sexually charged and manic dual-vocals of Jordan Blilie and Johnny Whitney careen over the ambivalence of spastic and catchy, bombastic yet funky indie noise that borrows from the spirits of THE LOCUST, ANTIOCH ARROW, and REFUSED. Produced by Ross Robinson (GLASSJAW, SEPULTURA, AT THE DRIVE IN). Served on several colors of limited edition vinyl, kinda like they could make a really huge bowl of Fruity Pebbles.

Ah, its good.
Pretty good...I'm starting to stray away from them now.
But for liking them its great stuff, don't listen to it that much.
And its only 2 songs, could have fit both songs and A side and added a B...but oh well.

I only have nine days left to review this, so I might as well. This is a high quality 7" if you are a fan of The Blood Brothers. Ambulance vs. Ambulance is a great song, as anyone who has Burn Piano Island Burn would know. Pink Tarantulas is an even better song. Mine came on very nice light blue vinyl.

save yourself some time and money, stab yourself in the ear with a pencil. sounds like the singer was castrated and then they made the vocals even more high ptched when editing it.

It's the Blood Brothers, it's orange and it's songs from Burn Piano Island, Burn era Blood Brothers. Which is much better than Crimes in my opinion.

Ooooooh....pretty green vinyl! Every Blood Brothers fan is well aware of how great the song "Ambulance Vs. Ambulance" is, but wait! how many of them know about "Pink Tarantulas"? It's such a fantastic song, yet it didn't make the cut for "Burn Piano Island Burn". That will forever remain a mystery to me, because it is far better than some of the songs that are on that album. Buuuut, maybe it was left aside so that it could get the full attention it deserves on this wonderful 7 inch. This song is the equivalent of a chocolate truffle...just a phenomenal little piece of heaven that only leaves you wanting more. Mmmmmm........chocolate.......I mean, Blood Brothers........
**It's only $4.50, how could you go wrong?!?**

The first song, Ambulance VS Ambulance, is good; one of the best songs on BPIB. The b-side is even better. It's worth it for this kickass colored vinyl.

Well, only one new song here, but it's a pretty awesome song. "Pink Tarantulas" is a very quirky song with odd lyrics. It ranges from very catchy, melodic singing to complete chaos and dual screaming. Honestly, it's not one of my favorite Blood Brothers songs, but it's definitely different and worth hearing for that reason. This also comes on cool color vinyl. Yup.

I basically bought this because I collect 7" records, especially colored ones. This album is, however, pretty good for only two songs. After all, it's the Blood Brothers - you can't go wrong!

I'm the Blood Brothers' bitch, so after buying the cd single of this I shelled out more cash for the exact same thing on 7" (minus the video of course). But I can't complain about one aspect of this record - which was not the case with the cd version ($11 for ONE new song). The 7" is 1/3 of the price, is a colour limited edition vinyl, and it actually has the lyrics for Pink Tarantulas in it. If you have a record player - buy this.
