Courting Tragedy And Disaster (Limited Edition Picture Disc)

(Features Former Undertow Singer John Pettibone)

Excursion 39

Released on August 26, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

After a troubled past, and a complete line up change, Himsa have re-created themselves, and re-vamped their sound, and...well...their style. ‘Courting Tragedy’ is very reminiscent of the Swedish metal thing that's been going on for the past few years. Blazing solos, flying double bass, gruff vocals. Over all a very well done record. If you weren't happy with past Himsa efforts, don't let those records taint your opinions on this one. If you're big on Shadows Fall, At The Gates, and Darkest Hour, you'll be into this. Now available on a hand numbered picture disc, limited to 666 copies!

god damn. this record is way fucking good. i've had the cd for a while, and i love it. the record is only better. it's the same music, but the artwork on the picture disc makes the record cooler. it's a fast, hardcore, brutal, and all around amazing record. if you can get your hands on one of these fuckers, i say do it. you won't be disappointed. if not, go buy the cd. it's incredible. oh, yeah... i might not be a "nerdy vinyl only fruit", but shit is better on wax.

This is a great release. Fast tech metal with brutal vocals, supplied by the legend that is John Pettibone. Try check these guys out live as they don't disappoint. Unless you are some nerdy vinyl only fruit, get this on CD and make sure you like it, before getting this picture disc. This is an awesome release with great artwork limited to 666 copies. Just make sure you like the band before you buy it so someone who loves them doesn't miss out.
