Terror State

Fat Wreck Chords 643

Released on October 21, 2003

In the recording of The Terror State, Anti-Flag turned to their long time friend Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine/Audioslave), employing him as the album’s executive producer. The result is Anti-Flag’s best sounding and most cohesive album to date! The story doesn’t end there, Anti-Flag was invited by Woody Guthrie’s granddaughter to pull lyrics from his archives and use them for a song. The product being the song “Post War Breakout”, one of the most innovative songs on the album.

Anti-Flag have long been organizers and participants in tours such as the “No More War: One People, One Struggle” Tour and the “Plea For Peace” Tour. Late in 2003 Anti-Flag will hit the road for nearly 3 months, in the US and Canada with a headlining package tour! Freedom, liberty, and social awareness being major subjects in their message, Anti-Flag are on a mission to empower the youth!

This album, to me, is not as strong as some of Anti-flags other stuff. If you are new to anti-flag, buy "for blood and empire". However, has some very good songs, i just find myself skipping most of them

Royce not theresa. Okay album but kinda poppy, but Turncoat, and Kill the Protester are good songs. Get Mobilize, or For Blood and Empire, first.

I really like this cd, even though nobody thinks its alright. The best songs on here is Sold As Freedom, Turncoat and Death of a Nation. If your a die hard Anti-Flag fan this cd is for you but if not maybe its not for you.

Ok, so what else is there to write about "The Terror State". In my opinion it´s definatly the best Anti-Flag album, and even though the topic isn´t really anything new (everyone hates Bush already anyway) it´s still delivered perfectly. A definite Must-have.

This is straight up ANTI-FLAG's most politically motivated album ever. The messages make me want to just hop out of my seat and change the world. The booklet also has some very important stuff to read. Let's change this F**k'd up world with the message put forward through this CD!!! Buy it soon!!!

I first heard Anti flag with their song 'Rank in File' on a warped tour CD and I've been hooked ever since. A hard hitting polital punk band, Anti flag have really put out a great record in 'The Terror State'. the guitars are spot on, the melodies are great and the drumming is the standard that we have come to expect from modern punk bands. I wouldnt start with this album though simply because the album just isn't as consistant as 'The Underground Network' and can tend to get a little boring towards the end. Otherwise, this is a very good album, well worth checking out.

one of the best cd's i have ever heard...its good to see a band that can write songs that dont complain over past teenage puppy love relationships and can actually send out a great message and educate at the same time...this cd will open your eyes to the world around you and make you rethink everything, amazing cd, best of the year ---one term president---- buck fush

I guess this is pretty good, I didn't pay too much attention too it. You know why? Because Nomeansno is so much better. Demand more Nomeansno cd's here at interpunk. Flood them with e-mails about how you want the re-release of Mama.
