Some Girls
All My Friends Are Going Death
(Members Of Locust, Give Up The Ghost, Undying, Swing Kids)
Deathwish 29
Released on January 27, 2004
|
SOME GIRLS have managed to turn the hardcore/punk world on its head with the release of only two 7"EP's and select performances. This may have something to do with SOME GIRLS being comprised of a cast of members that includes Wes Eisold (Give Up The Ghost, AN), Rob Moran (Unbroken, Over My Dead Body), and Justin Pearson (The Locust, Swing Kids) among their collective line-up. Each member bringing their own approach and past musical history to the table. Ultimately creating SOME GIRLS unique personality and genuine character.
This CDEP is a collection of both highly successful 7"EP's released on Deathwish, also included is a very special bonus track. Altogether the self titled CDEP is a collection of eleven rabid hardcore songs. Beautifully raw, unpolished, and altogether manic in their presentation, the way all punk should be.

Some Girls? This was the first CD i bought of theres and I was some what happy about it but not really. I thought they were going to be like THE LOCUST, but I was wrong. Its a really good price for the CD. Most the songs are about a Minute long.Their a Hardcore/Punk band. I suggest you buy this and give it a shot.

alright i got this cd last year and totally forgot to review it so ive had it for like 11 months. i fucking love this. i still listen to it on a regular basis. im a kid that has been torn between the quote unquote "hardcore scene" and the "fashion scene" so of course this takes both of them at their best and makes insanly awesome spazzy and sassy but straight up and genuine hardcore. one of the few bands that bane kids and daughters kids will agree on, fucking incredible. i recomend this to anyone whos into any faction of the hardcore scene.

Comprised of members from bands like The Locust, Give Up The Ghost, and Unbroken among others, you definitely hear all of those bands in their sound. From the heavy GHST sound to a frenetic switch into a Locust-esque tornado of noise, this album combines punk, metalcore, thrash, and grind all in under 20 minutes. Wanna wig-out and spazz all over the place? then pick up this one

This cd is just balls to the walls hardcore. Some of the songs kinda sound the same at first, but they always change up into a fuckin' smokin' sound. The lyrics are excellent. The guitars are off beat and off tune. The drums are just a cluster of sound. The one problem I had with this album was that it's kinda short. But, thats o.k.It makes up for it by being kick ass.I would recommend this cd to anyone who enjoys aggresive music.

Sounds like a screaming dwarf with asthma falling down a flight of metal stairs in a washing machine full of broken glass. Believe me, that is a compliment of the highest order.

Ok, first off, this band always intrigued me but everyone said it wasnt so great, so I halted. After finally hearing one of their songs, I thought it sounded pretty sweet and ordered the cd. To be honest, I think these dudes should quit their bands that they devote to full time and switch to this because this cd fucking rocks. Way better than what they're doing in the locust and give up the ghost.....i mean, i like those bands, but this is some of the craziest and rawest hardcore stuff i've ever heard. like a spazzed out black flag with killer artsy lyrics and glam art.totally killer.....who cares if the cd is short....it leaves you psyched from beginning to end. I've listened to it maybe 15 times in the past 2 days. essential listening.
