Hailing from the once quiet desert town of Tucson, Arizona, The Bled exploded onto the hardcore /
metal circuit in 2001. With their intense live performances along side bands like Dillinger Escape Plan, Norma Jean, Midtown and Recover, they were able to make a name for themselves within their
local music scene. Bringing about a mature sound that clearly exceeds their age as a band, The Bled, following the road less traveled by, is now clearing a path for those yet to come.
Strongly influenced by their predecessors and holding true to the ideals and values bequeathed unto them, The Bled have invented their own twists to a style so lastingly respected. The Bled, inspired by bands like Converge, Refused and Radiohead, are an electrifyingly brutal five-piece outfit. Those on the outside are no longer just looking in; they're trying to be accepted into one of the most dynamic musical families the industry has ever encountered.

This is a great CD. There are some songs that really don't go anywhere but the songs that are good fucking kill. Red Wedding, You know who's seatbelt (Dale Earnharts seatbelt) and the Sound of Sulfur are Amazing tracks. They are super hardcore songs that are doused in melody. Anyone who listens to hardcore should have this CD. Whether you like Norma Jean, Snapcase, Earth Crisis or Underoath, you should buy this CD.

yeah, my name's not sandra. it's carlo. but that's beside the point.
to be blunt, buy this cd. it's fucking incredible. it's easily one of the best hardcore cd's of 2003. although some people find it cliche, i can't see why. the guitars are original and the vocals are something fresh and new. i had this cd burned forever and just got around to buying it. the lyrics are brutal and amazing, almost in the vein of every time i die.
their new album doesn't live up to this. you should buy this album first if you are getting into the bled.

Im not really into much hardcore music, but I'd really have to say, this cd is amazing, one of the few hardcore bands I do like. They are very talented, and the cd is a good pick up in my mind. If you are a fan of hardcore, this is definately a must have to your cd collection.

Uh oh, 55 days left. Well, heres a solid cd. My tastes have grown since this was my favorits album a year or so ago, but thats how it goes. Anybody who needs real hardcore needs some akimbo, kaospilot, converge, bright calm blue, botch, CoC. Anybody who says there isnt a bad track on here is just ignorant. The last two are piles of poo, and dont belong anywhere near the rest of the songs. The Bled got some sweet riffs with some very throaty screams. All the tracks are very solid up until Spitshine Sonata, then it is safe to put the album away and dream about Natalie Portman......RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU JUST SAW SOME TITTIES!!!!!!!! Quit supporting this crap cause you know their next album is just gonna be a an overly produced disgrace to real music like so many albums now(eighteen visions, poison the well, avenged sevenfold, evergreen terrace, hopesfall, atreyu, underoath). Do yourself a favor and look for those new bands that need the support, so they can get huge and sell out. You owe it to yourself. 3 stars.

the bleddddd.. well it's pretty original compared to allot of other "metalcore" bands. they have a few catchy songs on this disc. it really has variety in it, which is pretty hard to find these days. some double bass action, but not overdone. this is actually a very very very good cd. watch out emo-metalcore haters!

not too bad, but I bought this based on the first 2 songs and was a little disappointed by the album after track 6. This will teach me not to buy an album without hearing the bookending tracks. The first 6 tracks are awesome, really fast paced and heavy screamo-infused metalcore, but after that it is kind of bland and really not that noteworthy. Who knows though, maybe they can pull their shit together for the next record.

This is a pretty decent cd. If you like fast palm muted breakdowns and some crazy screaming, pick this shit up. I find only half the songs are worth listening to, although all the songs sound relatively similar. The best tracks are 1, 2, 5, 7, and 8. Shut The Fuck Up is by far the best song - 1:30 in duration and fast as fucking hell. There is occasional singing on this, which is pretty decent. If you like Hopesfall you'll probably dig this, but it's way less atmospheric and much harder. Poce.
