Not a bad little tribute. You never know what to expect with these kinda' comps. Pretty solid all the way through. Weezer was rad. Inspection 12 also stood out. Only a couple clunkers. Don't bother listening to "When I Come Around" or "Going to Pasalacqua?" In retrospective it was worth the change though!

I am an avid green day fan. I bought this cd in hopes of getting a great tribute for a great band. Instead, i got a painful earful. With the exception of rudigers 2000 light years away and weezers worry rock, this cd, in a nutshell, sucks. unless you want a techno remix of when i come around (ick) and a very irish sounding She, i would steer clear of this cd. i couldnt even bear to listen to the whole thing. My only words on this cd is that i hope green day never hears it.. its a disgrace.

This is Dan not Patti. This was pretty bad. Green Day is my favorite band and I was hoping that this cd was going to be great. but i was wrong. Most of the songs are just terrible. What is up with the techno band doing the cover of "When I come Around"? It was hard to listen to. The same thing goes for "She". They slowed down the tempo and it just sucks. The only reason i gave this a 2 is because of Rudiger, Inspection 12, and Weezer. Wester's cover was pretty good too. I don't even think the big green day fans like me can stand to listen to this the whole way through. Plus its $14. some people may like this, but I would stay away from it.

i don't know why so many people are complaining about how this cd sucks. if you're a REAL Green Day fan, you'll like it. rudiger-2000 light years away is the best song on here.

when i first heard of this brilliant idea i couldnt wait to get it. when i got it, i was stunned. i was stunned that i just spent about $14 on this not so good cd. inspection 12's cover of f.o.d. is good(mainly because of the piano). taking the fall's cover of redundant is the best song on it. christie road by pensive is decent, nothing amazing.the rest arent that good. i will always like green day but most of the songs are kind of a disgrace to green day. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ALBUM. if you want something to do with green day, get the new pinhead gunpowder or the netwok cd. name is paul not rebecca

I honestly believe that a retarded monkey could have put together a better set of Green Day covers than this heap of garbage. Though the album does have a few saving graces: Weezer's transformation of "Worry Rock" from a song of frustration and regret to an eerie, melancholy ballad is seamless, as is McDolly's electric rendition of the classic "Macy's Day Parade". But honestly, who on God's Green Day lovin' earth could put up with the others cuts on this record? "Minority", "Basketcase", and "J.A.R." all suck equally! If you don't eat, sleep, and breath Green Day, then do yourself a favor and stay away from this regurgitated pig snot of a tribute.

while it was a good idea, it definetly didnt live up to its expectations. the songs were butchered and they sounded nuthn like GD. J.A.R. was butchered, i mean it's a tribute to a lost soul, Jason Andrew Relva must be turning over in his grave. the other tracks sounded mildly like the real songs, but they still were way to screwed up to bear listening to. i give it a 1

TJ Ross Croton, NY USA I ordered this CD with a an optomistic mind. I was very excited to hear that Green day had a tribute CD and wanted to hear their songs done by other people. I waited inpatiently for the CD to come and when it finally did i put it in my CD player.... Track 1 was good Rudiger did a great job with 200 light years away. FOD was next and that wasn't too terrible. Then Wirebox came up with when i come around a great GD song. They fucking murdered the song. They had these fucked up techno beats and shit. I wanted to die. If i met these people i would kick them all in the nuts. The rest of the CD basically sucked as well with a few ok tracks by weezer, MC dolly, and my persoanl fav Insomniac who did a kick ass rendition of minority. I'm so happy they didn't add other good GD tracks on this CD like brainstew, nice guys finish last, and longview. The person who let this CD be released should be killed. The only good thing about this CD that i really liked was the cover which i think is hilarious. INTERPUNK you should definatly make a shirt out of it. I would definatly buy it!!!

I was very dissapointed with this cd. The only really good tracks are 2,000 light years away, FOD, Macy's day parade, and going to palahasqua (spelt it wrong) everything else is just music that i cant here green day songs being played in. Welcome to paradise is simply horrific. If your a fan of green day or punk rock, dont even bother buying this crap.

I respect these bands for doing a tribute album to Green Day, how ever if you are a true fan, i think it might annoy you. The bands that re-made the songs sucked and didn't sound like they were actually singing it for the fun and love of the music, but more just to see their names on a CD sold in stores. I don't recomend buying this CD, save your money, buy a REAL Green Day CD!
