A great indie/prog-hardcore release by Stop It!! One thing that appeals to me the most is that there isn't a lot of repetition in the songs. Instead, the tunes just flow off of each other and I believe that Stop It!! does a good job at doing that. Very creative lyrics, although the way they are applied to a few songs don't work all that well. Nonetheless, this is an impressive release. I love it. Recommended to fans of The Fall of Troy, A Day In Black And White, and Wow Owls!
ps> the collage artwork in the booklet is cool.

This CD is very good. It took a couple listens to get into it, though, because it sounds kind of generic at first. However, once you familiarize yourself with the songs you start to like it more. The recording is a bit blah, but the music itself is good. You would probably like Stop It!! if you like: Transistor Transistor, City of Caterpillar, Blacktop Cadence, Circle Takes the Square, Cursive, or Yaphet Kotto.

stop it! is absolutly wonderful. this is their debut full length, but it sounds so mature it could easily be there fourth. they remind me of city of caterpillar without the godspeed! tendencies. this record rocks from begining to end so get in on the ground floor before this band is huge and all their stuff is out of print. the vinyl version from perpetual motion machine is gorgeous. go to the robotic empire website.
"remove your teeth" and "beethoven's funeral" are the best songs.
