Kut U Up

Pulled Over (Your Eyes Are Telling Me Different Son)

Suburban Home 8015

Released on July 15, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

The debut album from havoc-slinging punk smashers KUT U UP. Known for their chaotic live shows, raging party tactics, and penchant for trouble, the band brings a torched and burning blend of post-hardcore, '70s trash rock, and hard-driving indie rock sounds. The band is the subject of the upcoming documentary film Riding In Vans With Boys, shot during the 2002 Pop Disaster tour while opening for Blink 182, Green Day, and Jimmy Eat World.

you'll remember kut u up from the riding in vans with boys DVD/documantery whatever with blink-182. i think s&m dens is probably the best song on the album. it's got a kind of raw feeling to it, like rock music that started with california pop-punk, but gets drunk and doesn't give a crap.

i liked the "destination" song it kinda reminded me of Wax but a little tougher, but I think I may have been mistaken? I really did not care for the rest of the album- I have heard it all before, there are too many bands that sound like this... I didn't like it however everyone else does and you would not want to be different so buy it!

i got this cd as soon as it was re released, but if you've seen riding in vans with boys (great dvd) you already kinda know their music. some people would quickly dismiss this as "trippy acid rock", but thats just because that's what they call it on the dvd, but its pretty old school, not really old school punk, but... well you have to hear it for yourself. best song is stupidly clear cause it has this cunt kicking island style guitar rift

Woo-hoo! First review! Anyways, I bought this after seeing riding in vans with boys. I knew they played trippy acid rock (kinda) stuff. But i didn't think it would be so damn good. The first song is good, but the vocals can be annoying. Very talented musicians. I thought they were just little punk kids who just got on stage and rocked out. But their music seems so much more sophisticated than they are. Immature as fuck, but genius. (chris is so fucking funny on that dvd). Very impressive stuff. (vocals are okay, my only complaint)
