A-F 33

Released on July 1, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Pittsburgh's THE VACANCY is one of the area's newest and fastest growing bands. With influences ranging from ELVIS COSTELLO to LIFETIME, THE VACANCY describes themselves as simply a "rock'n'roll band". After stints in different area bands, THE VACANCY's current lineup solidified during the Summer of 2002. After a few months of rehearsals and songwriting sessions, THE VACANCY's reputation grew thanks to their live shows and countless demos passed out afterwards. A-F Records caught wind of their growing reputation and after seeing one of their gigs, they were quickly added to the family.

Kenny from Portland, OR
Nov 13 2003 Rating: 3/5 Stars

I picked this cd up because thier playing the anti flag show in Portland and it was an e.p. so I thought what the shit it cheap. The cd is ok. Not great, killer, kick ass, but ok maybe even good. Song #'s 1, 2, and 7 are the best. The vocals sounds alittle like Smoking Popes but the music his alittle harder than the Smoking Popes. The nice thing about this band is that even though thier on A-F Records they don't label them selves punk, they label them selve rock & roll. they defenatly have more of a pop sound then most A-F band. this isn't a bad thing while the other bads were listening to The Sex Pistols and DK, The Vacancy was probably listening to Elvis Costello, and lets face it Elvis costello kick ass. After all that said this album get 3*.
