The origins of OPETH rest among the growing musical vaults of Candlelight Records (from whom Century Media long ago licensed America's first glimpse of a band that has now become one of metal's best and most creative outfits). Dating back to 1995 and 1996 respectively, the "home coming" of Orchid and Morningrise to Candlelight for the Americas, come with the addition of bonus tracks - long part of the European release of each of these incredible recordings. Morningrise would follow and find the band furthering their sound by way of expanded songwriting (with each of the album's tracks still exceeding the 6-minute marker), impeccable musicianship and memorable lyrics.
