this is probably one of the best CD's i have bought all year. I never heard the movielife before i bought this but i figured i'd give them a chance and i'm really glad i did. this cd is well recorded the and the songs are well performed. it just sux they broke up because i would have loved to see them live.

This cd gets 4 stars because, although it's good, it's more rocky than the other albums. "Face Or Knee Caps" is probably the best track, but there are also a few songs that aren't too spectacular such as "It's Something" and "Keep Never Changing". The songwriting is top notch, and any lack of catchy tunes is more than made up for by Vinnie's killer vocals.

Overall, it's a great cd!

Unfortunately, if you want to get into The Movielife, it's a bit late since they have recently broken up. However, that doesn't change the fact that they made great music while still together. Forty Hour Train Back To Penn is a rather good record, but it still leaves much to be desired. It almost falls in a pop-punk category almost as inferior as Simple Plan. The truly good tracks on the album are Kelly Song and Jamestown. The others are good to listen to, but if you want to listen to The Movielife, then pick up This Time Next Year instead.

Go with "a gambling problem". For sure, this is just not the same. There is something missing, in the sound and the lyrics. But really, check out gambling problem.

I really like this album. Every song is really catchy. It takes a little getting used to, but I strongly encourage you to get this CD. It's a lot better than some of their other stuff. I guess that's only my opinion. Their older stuff was a little more just "punk" drumming...constantly. And I think that's why I don't like their older stuff as much.

Amazing release by the Movielife. I have "This Time Next Year", "Has a Gambling Problem" and now "Fourty Hour Train Back to Penn". This CD incorporates elements from "This Time Next..." and "Has a Gambling.." The high points on this CD are Kellys Song, Jamestown, Taking It Out and Choppin it Up, Face or Kneecaps and Hey! This CD is more hardcore than Gambling so if you liked the really poppy side of Movielife i wouldnt get this but if ur a loyal fan ull like it.

P.S It took me a while to really like this CD but now i love so give it some time to grow on u

A pretty good cd from another emocore band. I think this band is above average when compared to most other bands in their category. But it is still just missing something, not quite sure what it is. I still think it is worth buying if you like this kind of music. Later.
