Some Of The Young

Adeline 24

Released on April 29, 2003

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

This is the full-length follow up to THE INFLUENTS' well-received debut album Check Please (one of the Top Five Artist's Picks in Rolling Stone 2000). This Bay Area four piece have been called "one of the Bay Area's most underexposed treasures." Now they're back with a far more mature and interesting album, sure to leave its mark in 2003. Described as everything from folk rock and pop to REPLACEMENTS-style rock'n'roll, THE INFLUENTS continue to broaden their own landscape of sound on Some Of The Young. Jason White spent the first half 2002 as the second guitarist for GREEN DAY. After months of touring, he reunited with Greg Schneider, Willie Samuels and Johnnie Wentz. They submerged themselves in the studio throughout the fall to complete this incredible self-recorded and produced release that is not to be missed.

This is a really great cd so dont get the wrong idea cause i only gave it 4 stars, i would have given it 4 1/2 but not the complete 5 cause i just personally like the first album more. This is musically and lyrically a great album and band, and also unique which i consider a complement in my book. What more could you ask for in a band?! - cheryl
