JR EWING are five restless young men from Oslo, Norway. Comparable to bands like DRIVE LIKE JEHU, ANTIOCH ARROW, THE WHO, SHELLAC, etc. with an updated, technically-minded twist, the group has released one LP/CD (Calling in Dead, Coalition Records, 2000), a 7-song CDEP/10" (The Perfect Drama, Coalition, 2001), and a bunch of EP's since their inception in winter of 1998. They have toured Europe five times and are readying themselves for a west tour this winter, supporting PRETTY GIRLS MAKE GRAVES. JR EWING's second album, Ride Paranoia, is their GSL debut. The result is an intense record with a clear and distinct sound, an assault on mainstream "emo" vomit as well as redundant underground hardcore.
