Back On The Map

Taang! 12

Released on January 21, 2003

The album that signified the return to Boston hardcore from these longtime favorites spawned from the ashes of LAST RIGHTS, D.Y.S., and NEGATIVE FX. Originally released in 1986, the album is an essential piece of straight-edge hardcore history. Includes all seven tracks from the original, along with three bonus killers.

classic boston hardcore. great jewel to my collection. boston had some of the best HC bands around SSD was defently one of them. this slapshot cd isnt as good as SSD but is still good. so check it out and put X's on your hands...NOT ya its straight edge HC but SXE HXC ruled the 80s and rulz most of everything even today. face it hardcore was just more of a positive lifestyle for some reason that i dont understand....i mean how is that rebelious? SXE? y dont you become a minister or about dissin XXX this is a great cd and a great band. buy it.

first thing is, im not straight edge at all, but i like quite a few of the oldskool bands cos er theyre good. this cd has the Back on the Map album, and Same mistake EP. It takes gettin into, cos at first it just sounds like a ramble, but after a few spins it wakes up somethin primal in ya. stand out tracks from Back on the Map are the title track (about bostaon hardcore comin back) Chip on my Shoulder (cheeky underage kids tryin to get you to buy for them, hey i aint straight but its a fuckin ball ache!) The Same Mistake Ep has 3 tracks, the title track musically aint that great but if yer havin girl troubles the lyrics should connest to make it pass. however the ep boasts the brilliant oi! influenced Might Makes Right which is self explanatory. this isnt super fast thrash, its hardcore punk but with a sorta steady pace. theres better stuff than this but you could do a HELL of a lot worse! just buy it
