Since day one in early 1997, Twenty2 have been rocking stages all over Canada with their unique skate-style of punk rock. Months after their first performance, they were getting asked to open for top national acts such as Blink 182, Good Riddance, AFI, No Use For a Name, Diesel Boy and more. The band decided to record an EP to help get their name out, so they released an EP titled Winter Sucks, in February of 1998. After its release, they quickly grew in popularity and were approach by a number of independent record labels looking to release them. Soon after, they record their first full-length for Springman Records out of California, entitled Porn Rock. This album was engineered and produced by Joe D of Nitro Records hit band Jugg’s Revenge. In November of 2000, they released a new 8 song EP called Keepin’ Busy on Lameass Recordz out of Canada, which was licensed for US distribution by Springman Records. Months after its release, Twenty2 found themselves touring with national acts, including Propagndhi, Cigar & X-Large. With the end of 2002 quickly approaching, the band signed with New School Records and released their full length record The Dudes Of Hazzard in November of 2003, which gained them national television exposure throughout Canada on Much Music and Musique Plus and landed them on tour with Ten Foot Pole.
Twenty2’s new CDEP is going to rock your world! The CD contains 6 new tracks pumped with enough raw energy that you'll be ready to hit the skate park with full force. Very tightly composed, fast paced tracks, fill this disc from start to finish. With perfectly delivered, angry yet emotional vocals and lyrics go hand in hand with the technical bass lines, stunning guitar riffs and complicated drum beats. The release definitely shows the band has a very successful future ahead of them. Highly recommended to fans of ALL, No Use For A Name and Good Riddance.
