Since day one in early 1997, Twenty2 have been rocking stages all over Canada with their unique skate-style of punk rock. Months after their first performance, they were asked to open for top national acts such as Blink 182, Good Riddance, AFI, No Use For A Name, Diesel Boy and more. The band signed with New School Records early 2003 and released their full-length The Dudes Of Hazzard in November that year, which gained them national television exposure throughout Canada on Much Music and Musique Plus and landed them on tour with Ten Foot Pole. In late 2004. Twenty2 released a new 6 track EP titled Unstable, which lead to many opportunities knocking at their door… From a 3 week tour with Rise Against, to regular airplay on Quebec’s ever popular music television network, Musique Plus. In late 2005, New School release Still Busy, which is a 16 track compilation of Twenty2’s first three CD’s that were originally released in the early stages of the bands career. With this release keeping their fans busy, they were busy preparing to record their new full length, Defective.
Twenty2 is back in action with a new 14 track record that has enough melodic catches and pulls to claim itself as the bands finest release to date! Produced and engineered by Marc McClusky, Twenty2 was able to capture the raw punk sound the record needed to fill the expectations their fans have bestowed upon them. From the first track to the last, listeners will find themselves drawn in to the technical guitar riffs, fast paced drums and unique vocal style that only Twenty2 can deliver. Defective shows the band has a bright and successful future ahead of them and this piece of work will not disappoint their listeners.
