Great cd!!! If you like emo-hardcore with dazzling guitar-riffs and a lot of screaming, you can't go wrong with this one. The screaming is f*****g amazing and gives me "goose flesh"(this idiom sounds a lot better in norwegian though)!!
It has many killers; like "Love to hate, hate to me", "A sip of wine chased with cyanide" and "The shooting star that destroyed us" to mention a few.
There's no bad tracks here, but "lipgloss and letdown" and "we go to eleven" suffers from its lak of fantasy and may get boring after some listens.
One thing about this cd, and apart from that also many other emo-cd's that annoyes me, is that it's sometimes overproduced. This makes it kinda hard to listen to, and destroyes some of the fun. Because it's impossible to play it the same way in your potato-basement at home with the tabs in front of you, even if you are El-Hefe.
But overall, this is more than worth a purchase and you will definately "scream-along". I would have gave it 4,5 stars if I could.
For fans of Thursday, Finch, Matchbook romance, The used(by the way, the used sucks!!) etc. etc.

I'm glad I took some time and waited to review this CD. When I first got it I almost immediately disregarded it as generic "screamo", whatever you kids call it these days. I took a few more listens and I have to say the first 5 songs are just melodic masterpeices. After that, it doesn't get sour but just doesn't compare to the beginning, you know how that is. I definately recommend this CD, just give it time so you can hear the goodness. Couldn't think of a better word, sorry I tried. Toodles.

Great CD! After hearing the promo of their new cd "Fasa Latido", I have to say that THIS cd is the one to start with, because the new cd sounds like a band signed on a big label. Go figure. And Don't Forget To Breathe will be their best album to date.

Generic, redundant, and boring are a few words that come to mind when I think of A Static Lullaby. This band and this album are text-book cases of post-adolescent cry babies coming together and forming the exact same band and making the exact same album as every other group of post-adolescent cry babies in today's scene. They can't even manage to pull off being terrible and embarassing in that good, dark secret, guilty pleasure, hide in the very back of your CD case behind your old Backstreet Boys CDs sort of way as other similar bands like MCR or Taking Back Sunday do.
The only thing remarkable about A Static Lullaby is how awful they are.

I cant stop spinning this CD in my car radio, its a really great album, and its everything I look for in a band: tight, good guitar and drum sounds, and a good balance of screaming and melodic singing. One of my favorite albums. cant wait to hear some new stuff by them.

Bottom line: This is great album. A Static Lullaby is an awesome band with alot of talent. If you are a fan of Glassjaw, Silverstein, and Thursday then you should like this CD.

This isn't the kind of music I listen to, but I got this CD for a friend and she loved it so much she listened to it everyday. Then, she forced me to listen to it. It was mad rocking.

Decent... another one of those hardcore screaming bands. I've listened to it a few times through and I don't find anything particularly captivating. The CD gets better as the tracks progress with "The Shooting Star That Destroyed Us" being the pinnacle of the expiernce. Otherwise there were no outstanding tracks. For fans of bland hardcore, overproduced screaming music. I didn't like it much.
