After spending the better part of the last two years on the road and with
more tours on the horizon in support of their latest full-length Agitations,
COBRA SKULLS have hardly had a moment to take a breath. Yet amidst all
the chaos they haven’t allowed their busy schedule to hinder their profuse
creativity. In fact, they’ve found even more inspiration since welcoming new
guitarist Tony (formerly of Nothington) into the band last year, and have
continued to write new material. The band couldn’t contain their excitement
about a few of their newly penned tracks, so instead of holding onto them
until it was time to make another full-length they decided to strike while the
iron was hot and dipped into the studio to record them. The three songs that
resulted make up the 7” Eagle Eyes, and as soon as you hear them you’ll
know exactly why the band was so anxious to get them out there. The songs
flash that energetic punk style that Cobra Skulls originated with, while still
maintaining their genre defying sound. “Eagle Eyes” is a flat out hit. Without
falling into hyperbole, it’s pretty safe to say that the title track will
immediately be a highpoint on the Cobra Skulls set list and will retain that
status for as long as they plays shows. Check it out.
