Filthy Thieving Bastards

A Melody Of Retreads and Broken Quills

(Members Of Swingin' Utters, Me First And the Gimme Gimmes, Camper Van Beethoven)

Better Youth Org. 76.1

Released on November 13, 2001

Following up the debut nine song release on TKO Records, this fifteen song full length continues in the folk/punk styled tradition of The Pogues and the Swingin' Utters. The Filthy Thieving Bastards are the brainchild of Johnny and Darius of street punk legends The Swingin Utters. The all star cast of members includes bassist Spike (Me First And The Gimme Gimmes lead vocalist) and guitarist Greg Lisher from the infamous Camper Van Beethoven.

Whatever people say about this CD I like it a whole lot. Yes, it is country. The amazing guys from the Swingin Utters produced a LP full of slow songs with lyrics which are inspired by bitterness. It's like a collection of all slow Utters songs - only better. Hopefully, the Utters gonna divide their songs from now on. Put all the slow songs on one record and the fast ones on the other. Well, this records kicks ass - a record full of songs like lampshade.... muaahhahaa
