Yuck, this record is really horrible. I know this is a B-sides collection, but come on...most of the songs aren't even listenable. I love RFTC, but this isn't even close to what they're capable of. Speedo's great voice is masked by distortion on almost every single song, and the overuse of experimentation mars the possibility of most songs being listenable. For instance, "Chantilly Face" could have been really cool without the stupid talking over the music, and "Slumber Queen" would have been really good without the vocal distortion. The only good songs on this are "Normal Carpet Ride", "Press Darlings", and "Where are the Fuckers". For much better Rocket from the Crypt, get "Group Sounds", "Scream, Dracula Scream", "RFTC", or "The State of Art is on Fire."
