High On Fire

De Vermis Mysteriis (Double)

Entertainment One Music

Released on April 3, 2012

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

With a heavy-handed approach and a sound that crashes like thunder, HIGH ON FIRE has put the power back in ‘power-trio’. Less a band than a supersonic exercise in conquest by volume and sheer heaviness, the band has burned the metal rulebook and forged a new archetype.

I saw HOF everywhere I went for a few years and I didn't care. Then Blessed Black Wings came out and I was a fan. Now I watch the rollercoaster ride that is, continue recording and releasing, but I am a victim of the producer they use. I was stoked with Endino's production, then bummed with whoever did the last one. Well, they're back, and for as much as I am unphased by Kurt Ballou and all the praise he gets for doing very little as a producer, he sure as hell smoked the new HOF and made it sound awesome. Big Ups.
